Summer Party & LAN

Right, at the end of term during the assessment week we were planning on having a summer party and LAN on separate dates. However, the SU doesn't think it would be good idea to have a LAN in Domain based on the numbers which would be there (About 10-15 I quoted) thus instead of defaulting to Red's, they suggested merging the LAN and summer party. We could still book Red's for a LAN if that's what people wanted, but it would be from 7pm and I think too dark?

I have agreed to this because it means that the date for both would now be the 6th of May, instead of the 14th, which also means we're more likely to grab people before they leave for the holidays.

The summer party will be normal, and if Darren wants to do the LAN thing they can do it in Domain at the same time. I've requested additional chairs, tables and power cables. I haven't been able to talk to Darren about it for the past week, but since we're near the end of the year and things are winding down, this seemed the best way to do it.

Now, for the summer party side of it, it'll be similar to the Christmas Party. I was thinking we could have a cosplay competition as well to encourage people to cosplay, which we hoped to do last year anyway: what do people think?

Sounds awesome youll have lots of people from Jac Dan turning up for it as well with some cosplay XD

As I said, haven't been able to speak to Darren for a while to organise it. He was busy on Friday and this Monday so hopefully this Friday we can sort something out ^^
